Jonah Ramone

Passports!

We went to get passports for the boys and Karen this morning.

Jake sporting his playoff "beard"...not sure if this is in support of the Cavs, Pens or both!

The postal worker who processed our applications kept us in stitches with his observations regarding Jonah and his resemblance to Joey Ramone!

No smiling now!

Guess who waited up in the tree while we finished the paperwork.

Got started on the wainscoting last night. I need an electrician to come in and run a new 220 line for the stove.

Picked up the supplies I will need to do the wainscotting behind the refridgerator and stove last night.

Penguins advance to conference finals.

Sights on my way to work

Some things I saw this morning on my way to the office...

...and finally...

Here's how I hope this works

I hope to write a summary every day or so to record progress etc.
At this point I am waiting for my passport. This is the first step in obtaining a visa to work in Canada.

Our house is being readied for market.
Much painting and remodeling (upstairs bath) has been done, but much remains yet to be accomplished!
Last night I removed the ledger board I put up to assist with the top cupboards that went in over the weekend. Jonah unpacked the floor cabinets and I pre-positioned them to check the level. Definitely some shimming will be required. I also sanded and primed around the kitchen window. The window's metal frame also got a coat of primer. I put the last coat of paint on the kitchen door to the porch and the corner cabinet that will be staying on.
Pretty exciting stuff, this!

Greetings

This is an attempt to document some of the madness that is my life as my family and I quit our jobs, pack up and move to Bruce County, Ontario.
